These words I say,

Don't take the pain away.

They just distract me enough,

To get through another day.

The tears I cry,

Don't help relieve the darkness within.

They make me strong,

And tell me that I am still human.

How crude and real my thoughts are now,

How I analyse every day and hour.

So I don't make any more mistakes,

I am not a sadist or coward.

What the world thinks of me,

Does not really matter much.

I know who I am, myself,

I know the truth, I alone can touch...
